GrowBoy

GrowBoy is a juggling act to manage Moisture, Temperature, and Photo Period for a plant! Select 1 of 3 difficulties to begin. Hurry to adjust the lights and add water!

If you treat your plant well, you'll see it grow over time. Remember that as the plant grows taller, you'll need to back off the light or it'll burn!

The indicators on the right will show you not just amounts, but quality. A meter going black means the plant is losing health and will die if not fixed! Dark grey is a warning that the plant is uncomfortable. Light grey means you're doing great!

By using compression, SFX and music was added while still being a 32KB ROM.

GBDK-2020 used to create the game, and all GFX assets were made by me. Music by me as well, and SFX from beatscribe's free asset pack.

Controls at Title Menu: 
LEFT and RIGHT to change difficulty 
SELECT to stop/start music 
START to start game

Controls in Game:
LEFT and RIGHT to change action
A to select an action, or if selected already, activate action
B to unselect an action
SELECT to stop/start music 
START at game over/win to return to Title Menu

Hints:
Beating Easy Mode should take about 10 minutes
Draw the light closer to raise the temp
Keep the photo period about 20-24 hours / day until vegetation is finished
Then switch to 10-14 hours / day to flower and eventually harvest!
Making fewer mistakes early will give a better margin for error later

In Hard Mode:
The plant will only grow if the meters are light grey!
The plant needs Nitrate Fertilizer (left) to grow in the vegetative state
The plant needs Calcium Fertilizer (right) to grow in the flowering state
Adding too much fertilizer will kill the plant!
